Jawalamuki
I learned classical sitar Ragas with Baluji Shrivastav. This discipline exposed me to different time frames and also the significance of rehearsal and practice. I used sitar in a band, Jawalamuki, with seven other musicians and we performed in festivals, creating ambient soundscapes with visuals. Working with such a large number of musicians was interesting, as we came from very different perspectives and the project reflected this, with sounds ranging from harsh electronic beats, to saxophone.
