Decolonisation has been central to my political and artistic practice, being of Irish heritage and experiencing first hand prejudice in the 1970s. Moving forward as an adult, I am proud to have been part of BLM, active anti fascism and addressing ways to decolonise the curriculum in my role as a teacher. Musically, our songs address structural racism and equality. A very proud moment, was to be asked by Celeste, Polystyrene’s daughter, to play at 198 gallery as part of the retrospective in 2019.
